Human transplanted kidney costs MYR 5,000 to MYR 9,000. This is the price tag in recorded 2012, four years back. And about 60,000 transplants are taking place worldwide each year, where 1 in 10 were done illegally.

“Wealthy patients are paying up to £128,500 (roughly $191,028 today) for a kidney to gangs, often in China, India and Pakistan, who harvest the organs from desperate people for as little as £3,200 (roughly $4,756 today)”

For your information, organ trading and trafficking has been a “very profitable and impatient industry” since The New Millennium. And it is still ongoing, staggering US$1 billion a year! That number is only  in China alone. p:s I wonder if they are hiring.

The true challenge in job recruitment is recruiters has no adequate tools to accurately measure skill sets and qualification. Inaccuracy is due to human bias, which leads to injustice.

This idea is inspired from a friend of us who was rejected by job finder system, simply because he did not have “3 years of experience”.

In reality, he was a really talented programmer and he applied jobs at big companies like IBM and Quintiq. Without many choices, he had to pursuit his career with smaller company, that provides less benefits.

On the other hand, that big company has to struggle to deal with another programmer they hired. That person barely do basic problem solving, simply because he is actually not as good as he was in the resume. Well, he had what the recruiter demanded – 3 years of experience.

With “impressive” communication skills, he secured the job even despite his poor technical skills. Just because interview’s conclusion is made of human bias, his skills were not evaluated carefully and his promising resume remains ‘outstanding’.

Introduction: Predicting Human Personality Traits

Human Being is Unique

Human progresses from young to old – learning from events of life, overcoming event after event, and moving on. Hence, different evolution history and different perspectives of life. Every event happened in life develops new rules, results in the personality of the person today. But the rules sometimes are not withstanding, causing the person to flex.

Studies shows that personality can change in matter of long time. Sigmund Freud, an Austrian neurologist and the father of psychoanalysis, postulated that, to describe behavior, we must look into persons’ motives in the present, not in the past. Person’s today is the result of his/her extraversion, openness/intellect, conscientiousness, agreeableness, and emotional stability, so he/she ables to make decisions.

Human Interested in Greater Available Information

Basically, humans are typically fond of future predictions and forecasts. How?

An exploration biological hormone, dopamine enhances person’s exploration towards questions that they are seeking for answer. Human entropy increases as the brain try to answer higher question. Human always interested in environment that provides greater information. Then the likely aversion to predominate over exploration. However, as the entropy develops in the human cybernetic system, it can drive more aversion responses which includes caution, fear, and anxiety.

Quoting a famous Irish proverb, “Curiosity killed the cat…”. Unfortunately, it is true. Either an exploration literally kills a human or the human becomes more sensitive individuals. And rejoins with, “…satisfaction brought it back”. The degree or index of both secretions are exploration-dependant. We should be grateful to the nora-adrenaline to put a stop or interrupt our exploration “chaos”, hence to balance exploration-aversion in a human.

The Reliability and Validity of Personality Tests Questions

We are interested in identifying personality traits in quantifiable variables. Psychologists and humanists theorists postulated many respected indicators to discover personality traits. It can be assessed by having personality test questions.

Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is widely used as an indicator to measure psychological preferences in how people perceive the world and make decisions. Rooted from Carl Jung’s theory, it shows patterns for how we carry out these mental activities commonly referred to as the function- attitudes, functions-in-attitude or the eight mental processes.

Finally, we strongly believe that human should be fitted into trait-based rather than fitting human into type-based. Measuring personal preferences should be measurable and understandable.

We like one of a famous humanist theorist, Abraham Maslow, an American psychologist, on his idea: The closer the actual of a human being and the idea that they would like to be, the more positive his/her self-actualization.

Self is the organizer of our thoughts and feelings and action. Self is the center of a personality.

Time waits no one. We need to cut short self-reflection time so that we can focus on solving more complicated problems.
